Role: Letters Girl

I input names and addresses for the mailing list. Occasionally I cause typos. Not very many, though, as I am also a writer. I’ve just published a book called London Leather, which is a serious literary novel about the London BDSM scene. As well as having some explicit – and accurate – kink in it, it follows four people through their real lives and explodes some of the sillier myths about who we are and what we do. At time of writing it’s only available for Kindle from Amazon (search ‘Penny Armstrong, London Leather’) but hopefully there will be a paperback soon.

Questions we asked:

Coffee

Strong and white.

Cake

Chocolate fudge cake!

Kinks: Interests, Quirks or Peculiarities

I am a pervert intellectual.

What attracted you to Coffee, Cake & Kink? (Why CCK?)

CCK1 (the shop) was a wonderful place and I wanted to help it stay on the map as long as possible.

What were you doing before you joined us?

Working in publishing. Still am.

What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do?

I like to wake up naturally on weekends (don't have that option on weekdays). The first thing I do is consume coffee.

What's your favourite thing to do on a Saturday night?

Go to a really good BDSM club.

What are you reading right now?

One Long Hot Summer in St Petersburg by Duncan Fallowell.

What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldn't?

I'm not sure there is a 'shouldn't' where eating is concerned, unless you are stealing food from charity boxes or something. I suppose I shouldn't have stolen grated cheese from my boyfriend's plate.

When was the last time you cried laughing and why?

A couple of days ago, at something my lovely boyfriend said.

What is stashed under your bed/mattress?

A lot of kink kit and some camping gear.

Have you got any bad habits? :)

I’m told I worry too much. I chew my lip in the service of the worry.
